Binance Named as One of the Marketing Partners for the 64th Grammy Awards

Binance cryptocurrency exchange has been named as the official marketing partner of the Recording Academy, the organization in charge of the Grammy Awards.

As announced by Recording Academy, Binance will be joined by other prominent companies, including IBM, Mastercard, and OneOf amongst others.

The Binance partnership will come off as the very first of its kind for cryptocurrency exchange with the Recording Academy and the trading platform is billed to bring Web3 technology solutions to the Academy.

“We are excited to be working alongside these industry-leading brands for the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards,” said Adam Roth, Senior Vice President of Partnerships & Business Development at the Recording Academy. “Music’s Biggest Night wouldn’t be possible without each and every one of our partners. With their participation, we are able to celebrate the music community and its creators in a new and exciting way that’s never been done before. We hope fans watching the show in person and at home can join in on the celebration as we know this will be a night to remember.”

While the deal valuation remains undisclosed, a Binance spokesperson confirmed that the partnership will last for at least a year. Besides Binance, OneOf, a Non-Fungible Token (NFT) platform is also one of the partners in this year’s Grammy.

The OneOf platform “launched the first GRAMMY NFTs for the 64th GRAMMY Awards featuring collections from renowned artists Emonee LaRussa, Andre Oshea, and ThankYouX.” The collection from the OneOf and Grammy are dropped each week leading up to the GRAMMY Awards beginning March 7 with the free 64th GRAMMYs NFT.

It is delightful to see digital currency trading platforms ink high-profile sponsorship deals with prominent traditional companies. The partnership with Grammy will further set Binance on a new pedestal that will see the trading platform gain additional recognition on the global scene.

eBay Joins the NFT Space, Offering Traders a Seamless Experience

E-commerce giant eBay has entered the non-fungible token (NFT) sector through a strategic partnership with Web3 company OneOf.

eBay’s exclusive NFTs will include animated and 3D interpretations of iconic athletes highlighted on Sports Illustrated covers in the past years.

To offer high-value items and heightened passion to the eBay community of buyers and sellers, NFTs emerged as an ideal stepping stone, according to Dan Block, the VP of Collectibles, Electronics, and Home at eBay.

Block added:

“NFTs and blockchain technology are revolutionizing the collectibles space, and are increasingly viewed as an investment opportunity for enthusiasts. Through our partnership with OneOf, eBay is now making coveted NFTs more accessible to a new generation of collectors everywhere.”

With 142 million buyers worldwide, eBay is the second-largest e-commerce player after Amazon and seeks to render more economic opportunities through cutting-edge technologies like NFTs.

Lin Dai, OneOf’s CEO, pointed out:

“You don’t have to be a crypto expert to buy, sell, and collect NFTs. OneOf and eBay are bringing transformative Web3 technology to the next 100M non-crypto-native mass consumers.”

The NFT collection will comprise 13 limited editions, classified as green, gold, platinum, and diamond.

Wayne Gretzky, a Sportsman of the Year, noted:

“Forty years ago, I was grateful to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated, it was a monumental moment in my life. I’m honored to bring this collectible experience to my hockey fans who have followed my career for decades.”

E-commerce players continue entering the crypto space based on the opportunities rendered. A recent study by Checkout.com highlighted that nearly 70% of merchants view crypto payments as game-changers needed to revolutionize business models.

Latin Grammy Awards to Launch NFT Collections in Partnership with OneOf

The Latin Grammy Awards, the prestigious award ceremony that is dedicated to recognizing talents from the Latin American world, has announced its partnership with OneOf, a next-generation Non-Fungible Token (NFT) platform.

The partnership between the Latin Grammy Awards and OneOf will span for three years. The NFT outfit will launch a series of digital collectables tied to the award ceremony and the celebration of Latin music.

“The Latin Recording Academy is committed to exploring innovative, new ways to celebrate excellence in Latin music and to connect music to other art forms in our culture, including visual and digital arts,” shares Manuel Abud, CEO of The Latin Recording Academy. “Together with OneOf, we are giving fans the opportunity to own a piece of the Latin Grammys.”

The entertainment world is more concerned of the rising power of the revolutionary potential of NFTs gradually. As a Tezos and Polygon-based protocol, OneOf is known for its sustainable drops, making it a perfect partner for the Recording Academy.

The partnership between the award organizer and OneOf was ignited in April when the protocol was named alongside Binance exchange as the key partners for the 64th Grammy. With the partnership at the time, OneOf also helped float an NFT Collection.

“OneOf is honored to be partnering with The Latin Recording Academy to host the Latin GRAMMYs’ first-ever NFTs,” adds Adam Fell, OneOf Co-Founder and President of Quincy Jones Productions. “The Annual Latin Grammy Awards are the most important night of the year for Latin music, and this partnership will bring fans closer to the ceremony than ever before.”

From Marvel to Time, the number of media entities launching their NFTs has skyrocketed over the past year, re-emphasizing how much importance brands are placing on this practical representation of blockchain technology. By registering the piece of the Latin Grammy Awards history on the blockchain, the technology’s use case can be further emphasized.
